Dear Neighbor,
It’s been wonderful seeing so many of you in the community this week in support of our small businesses, events for women entrepreneurs and artists, and meetings to finalize our Ward 2 budget priorities.
I invite you to join me for Open Streets on 7th Street NW tomorrow any time from 9 am – 3 pm at 7th and Q Street NW!
7th Street NW, between Florida Avenue NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW will be closed to vehicle traffic and open for fun events throughout the day. There will be music and fitness classes, and you’ll be able to bike, walk, and visit with neighbors across Shaw, Mount Vernon Square, Chinatown, and Penn Quarter.
At 12:30 p.m., I’ll be joining the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities and Shaw Main Streets for the dedication of TWO beautiful new murals. The first mural is located at 7th and Rhode Island Ave. NW and after that dedication, we’ll walk to 9th St. & N St. NW for the dedication of the second mural. Afterwards, we will head back to 7th and Q for the rest of the afternoon!
